Some Bugs but Wonderful App – GALATEA: Novels & Audiobooks Review

When I first started, I had the Audiobooks+ app. I didn’t know it was separate from Galatea, I thought they were affiliated or something. But now I’ve found the Galatea app and I’ve switched over. I’m immensely relieved to find my purchases for THE MILLENNIUM WOLVES is intact because I did NOT want to pay for that again! That’s my favorite book, btw, hence why I decided to buy the entire series thus far instead of waiting for each chapter to unlock. My main problem with the Audiobooks app was the lack of boon synopses but that isn’t a concern anymore. I also look forward to exploring the ‘interactive’ side. I’m always down to try a new medium! Though verbal remains my favorite! One problem I would like to note, however, is how few points we receive versus how many we use. There’s a massive imbalance in place. I’m be chapter - not one story, one CHAPTER - costs three points, and you receive only one per day at check in. So you can only get a new chapter every three days unless you want to spend real money (I paid something like $35 for the MILLENNIUM WOLVES series in its entirety) which a lot of people won’t want to do. And there’s only one ad video a day which gives two points. The other options are ‘write one review on one chapter per day’ for one point, or refer a friend for 50 points (I would if I knew anyone who would like this app but Im the only one) or call us to give us feedback for 50 points, follow us on social for one point. You see where I’m going with this? There’s a huge imbalance and it screams herding the reader towards purchasing points. But how about a subscription service where each day you earn, say, six points? That’s two chapters a day. And multiple ads daily, which means more revenue per ad for the app and more points and chapters for the reader. Small changes like this could really help the app feel more balanced.
