It works… but so much frustration with UX – August Home Review

I rarely write reviews but I’m posting this one in the hopes that a product manager at August might read and address some of these frustrating pain points: First, there is no clear path to removing an old lock. You need to do a factory reset according to docs, but for a truly unresponsive lock that is not possible. Second, when you rename locks, the name does not update until you quit and restart the app. Not at all an intuitive experience. Third, the process of giving users keypad access is just weird, there is no natural path from a user — you must find it through the keypad settings. In general the app and lock works but I have wasted time with it to achieve basic things.
