Struggles with newer iPhones and with Japanese – Google Translate Review

First, this app works much better on an iPhone with a single camera lens. On my iPhone 12 Pro it really struggles to focus on Japanese text, especially if I’m trying to translate something on a screen. I switch to my old iPhone 6 and it focuses right away. Second, it does a decent job, most of the time, but context is so important to translating Japanese to English and that’s where the app struggles. Really, if there was an option to just read the Kanji to me or display the romaji, I can translate it myself.
