I initially gave 5 stars but…. – Survey Junkie Review

I had this app for less than 24 hours. Everything was going great and I couldn’t believe I was getting paid actual money to do surveys while I watched tv or during down time at work. Of course, it was in small increments but, I knew that going in to the experience. Survey Junkie is straight forward about the pay. You’re not going to get rich or replace an income and I was ok with that but, let me get back to the point.. Everything was going great. I was taking all the surveys I could and accumulated $11.95 in my first day with this app. Cashed it out to my PayPal and was pretty excited when it popped up in my balance as actual money. Then, I return to the app to take more surveys and they’re all gone. Not a single survey to be had. At first I thought maybe they had a limit but after a lot of research, couldn’t find anything of the sort. I used the “contact us” function in the app and have yet to receive a response. I have tried everything from deleting and reinstalling, visiting the desktop site, logging in and out, and on and on. Still nothing. I am not dependent on this money but, I was really enjoying using the service and earning a little change in my spare time. Also, Survey Junkie and their affiliates have a ton of my info now which isn’t a problem. I agreed to it and it comes with the territory when using services like these. Your info is their product. Most free services are like that. I’m sure I will be getting robot calls, spam emails, and more as a part of me sharing this info. That being said, I feel like I have done my part in sharing that. I’m hoping Survey Junkie will do their part and fix this problem. Update: The problem was the fact that I use a secure email service. I had already created an account, confirmed the email address, taken surveys, and cashed out all while using my protonmail email address. Then, it stopped working. I’ve already shared a ton of information with Survey Junkie but I guess since I use a secure email that doesn’t sell my info, I can’t use it. I was asked specifically to create a “gmail, yahoo, etc” and to make a whole new PayPal account with that email address. I’m not doing all that just to make some nickels and dimes. I appreciate the 12 bucks but I’m deleting my account now.
