What Happened? – MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter Review

I used to love this app, and I’ll continue to use it for one reason: it has one of the best catalogue of items available of all free calorie-counter apps. It is usually good with barcode scanning as well. I can’t give the app all the credit, because a lot of the food items are generated by users manually creating them. Here’s what’s bothering me: - After ALL these years, you still can’t log a food item and then alter the nutrition info manually after the fact, on the mobile app. You have to create a whole new item. This only causes further duplicate food items in the app, most of which are outdated or flat out wrong. Just let us change the nutrition value of a logged item without changing it in the system. - The ads are getting out of control. It used to be sparse — now it’s showing an ad basically after every entry and sometimes multiple ads back to back. It’s getting to be a let-down.
