Shipping kit delays, High fee, Long payout – Tradesy Review

Tradesy as a concept is a great app and platform from a trading experience perspective, they came up with an innovative business model that should solve pain points to both buyers and sellers at a modest service and everyone would be happy. All sounds great until you start losing sales because the shipping kit - an empty black card board box and a polybag with a label - takes almost two weeks to arrive. Buyer pays an extra fee for this and it takes forever, while the information given to both is poor and innacurate (no clear dates). I have to literally keep explaining and justifying to buyers why I haven’t shipped the product yet. Keep in mind that in my case I am selling expensive designer handbags so I won’t ship without a protective box. I tried contacting customer service and it’s almost impossible to find someone. Last time I tried I had to click on so many pages and links to find an email, I don’t even know how to get to it again. And they didn’t help with anything except saying I could do my own shipping, then why are we paying the extra shipping kit fee??? No clue. Another problem is the fee they charge the seller - very high for what the quality of service is. Once customer pays (only after product is delivered, which will take long considering the delay in the delivery of the shipping kit to begin with (we’re at around 3-4 weeks now), it will take another 2 weeks to release funds to your account (another extra fee here). That’s a long time for the total fees you’re paying. Tradesy: please pay attention to this, as you will be easily desintermediated soon if you don’t improve your processes. Ok to charge fees, but then your services have to be impecable otherwise your sellers will go elsewhere.
