Watch out for your tax! – Reverb: Buy & Sell Music Gear Review

I am deleting this app after my last purchase goes through because I cannot get anyone to accurately explain how Reverb.com is applying taxes. I have reached out to support and they refer me to my state or a blog post that refers me to my state. The problem here is that Reverb’s numbers do not reflect what my state says the tax should be. If a state says 7% and my numbers aren’t lining up, no one at Reverb.com can tell me how it where tax is being applied. Unfortunately Reveb.com says it’s out of their hands, but it leaves me uneasy that no one can explain what is being taxed and where. Other similar sites seem to line up almost to the fraction of a percent, but this site doesn’t somehow. I have no problem paying what is legally necessary, but it is uncomfortable to get the run around when numbers don’t line up. Free advice: Be very cautious when doing business through this company and add a very wide margin when you bid.
