No requirement to have an exchange account... – bitWallet™ — Bitcoin Wallet Review

The #1 reason I'm giving this app five stars is that it doesn't require you to sign into some web "service" that demands all your personal info. This may not be as secure as a hardware wallet, but this is a likely balance, if one desires to trust their phone with their BTC balance.
