it WAS amazing. Past tense – Dark Browser - Dark Mode Review

This WAS an amazing app; however, like what happened in the recent notability fiasco, this developer decided to shift to a subscription model. While that’s understandable, the shift is a requirement for previous users as well. You lose all previously accessible features like “enable dark mode to every website,” “website images support brightness adjustment,” and “multiple dark mode themes”. I found this out after installing it on another phone and tested it by deleting the app and reinstalling it on my iPad. The restore purchase button gives a “x.” So, don’t ever delete this app if you got it before the change! If you plan on buying or will be receiving (Xmas!) a new iPhone or iPad, you’re out of luck. At least there’s a “limited” 1 time purchase. Btw, removing features from previous users is actually against the App Store Review Guideline 3.1.2(a). The decision to ignore previous users is really unfortunate. Unless the dev does something to rectify this issue, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. Maybe “neo noir -dark mode for safari” for free app or “dark reader for safari” for paid
