Feedback – Calorie Counter by Cronometer Review

Love it. I lost 87 lbs (247 > 160, 6' male) calorie counting using another app. I bought lifetime for it and am happy to have supported them, but now that I'm a healthy weight, I see what a big difference weight made and wonder how much better I'd feel if I was able to meet all my nutrient needs from food. Cronometer seems to be the only one doing micronutrient tracking, so kudos and thanks! That said, it could use some changes: 1. Doesn't feel like a native app. The UI is very utilitarian and doesn't feel joyful to use. It also crashes very easily on an iPhone 12. I have to force close it after each few items I add to keep it from lagging to the point I can't go to Home Screen. Almost like I'm running out of storage, but I have 20 GB free. 2. Better support HealthKit. When my old app adds calories to Apple's Health, it adds a bunch of HK fields including the name of the item and the meal. Cronometer doesn't have any of that. Data portability is important to me. 3. Have a trial 1-2 weeks of Gold. I'd rather not waste on 1 month if I'm going to like it and want to buy the 1 year.
