Awful Game – Fishing Joy II HD Review

This is not a game of skill. The developers have written an algorithm to control the game that allows you only so many "hits", no matter how good your aim is. It is designed to make you lose all of your coins as quickly as possible, so that you will buy more - which you will, again, quickly lose. The best use for this game is as a relaxing underwater scene to have in the background when you are not using your iPad for anything else. Just don't play the game. Update: Against my own better judgement, I thought I would try playing again. I came across more examples of this developer's greed and questionable ethics. The game gives you coins every 4 hours. Normally the amount is 200, but once in a while it is a "mystery prize" where you spin a prize wheel with different amounts on it. When I went to get my coins, the wheel popped up, so I spun it. I landed squarely on "1200" coins, but all of a sudden the screen changed, and only 140 coins were added to my total. Fraud! Also, after about the 8th level, the game encourages you to use a multiplier button, where you can multiply the value of each shot by 2 or 5 or 10 times. After this point, every time you open the game, the multiplier feature is automatically set at 10 times, even though you did not set it that way. If you don't notice this, and turn it back to 1x, you will lose your coins 10 times as fast. So even though it is almost impossible to hit anything anyway, that is not good enough for these developers. They want you to lose your coins 10 times faster, so that you will have to buy more. Not happening! Shame on you for your greed!
