Shady workaround for parental controls – Unicorn Chef: Mermaid Cooking Review

My daughter enjoys this game, but she was somehow able to purchase a pricey weekly subscription despite the fact that we have parental controls in place requiring our authorization. I personally think that the developers intentionally created a ‘free trial’ within the app for the ad free version as a workaround for parental controls. No ‘purchase’ no authorization required, but then as soon as the free trial expires, suddenly we’re being charged $8.99 a week WITHOUT having to authorize the charge. This is a super shady way to do business.
