Eh – Dream: Free Review

Updated review: The app now plays when the screen is off, so that's good, and the heartbeat sound has been removed, also a plus. The medium quality remains, but the app is probably sufficient for blocking out external noise and distracting you so you can work or sleep, if that's all you want and you're not too picky about the sounds. Original review: Medium quality, ad supported. Worst point: doesn't play in stand-by mode, only when the screen is on. So it really serves no purpose. The sound effects are not all recorded or produced cleanly -- at times some sound like old mono -- and are not all that soothing. Good points: you can play more than one effect at the same time, like rain and "bugs" (which ought to be called night, since the loudest bugs are crickets), and it has some sounds that other apps don't, like heart beat (although someone need to lower his pulse rate) and projector. If you're a casual sound user, it may be for you; those of us who download all the sound apps will probably want to move on. Two stars.
