My review was removed for some reason. – Fate/Grand Order (English) Review

Previously I had given this game 4 stars since I gave it the benefit of a doubt critiquing the game while pointing out the positives. But because it was removed I am reducing it to one star. Firstly I want to say that the game is really old in terms of the engine it uses and is far too static to even be considered a worth while game. The static illustrations are unacceptable. They are amazing in terms of art but the fact that even SSRs aren’t dynamic makes the servants lack a premium feel. Though I will say that Takeuchi Takashi’s work is full and right up copy pasted all around. The sprite animations lack personality when idle and diversity when preforming an action. When you compare this to games like Genshin impact, Azur Lane, Arknights, etc. The story was good though it takes a bit to truly get invested since the writing was lackluster until the 4th singularity. And only stays interesting enough until the Lostbelt 2 section. Before the 4th singularity the story is laughably bad, after lostbelt 2 it is nothing special. Drop rates are extremely bad. I believe it drops to 1% for a 5* and it may not be the one you want since there is no segregation in the “rate up” banners. There is also no pity system which makes it worse since the premium currency is also scarce outside of the yearly anniversary events. Imagine having no pity system and requiring 5 copies of a unit to even see their real DPS numbers. For anything outside of 3* and below, this is hard to downright impossible unless you spend money and even then it is not likely to happen unless you spend a small fortune. There are other methods to obtain free Premium currency but the amount of time it demands would even make GTAV blush. Animation updates are good. But there is a pattern of laziness there as well. You’ll realize at points while playing this game that several servants end up with a similar animations when using their ultimate attacks. The size this game demands for how little it offers is staggering. Over 7GB. That is insane and unacceptable. The game cannot even be rendered properly to a full smart phone screen whereas other games have easily done so. If you are a fate fan then I guess you’ll still play this game. If you are not, then stay away. There are console Fate games that make better use of your time. It pains me to say this but you are better off playing solitaire than playing this game.
