Killing 1/3 of my battery with iOS 14.8 – 1.1.1.1: Faster Internet Review

Have used this app for a year or more. I wanted to keep thing private. I thought iOS 14.8 was killing my battery life and chatted with Apple. Over the last 10 days, a full 30% of my battery is going to the 1.1.1.1 app. I understand that it participates in all DNS resolving, but no other app on my phone comes close for power usage. Safari is 11% and the phone is 7%. You folks at Cloudflare need to optimize this app. I am going to have to shut it off. And my battery health in my iPhone Xs Max (big battery in it) has 86% for its maximum capacity.
