Used to be good. – Free Tone - Calling & Texting Review

I’ve had this app for about 5 years. It worked well enough, although sometimes it wouldn’t alert me of calls/texts until much later. I saw past that and it was a pretty good app, that worked for my situation. Fast forward to now…it’s holding some of my text messages hostage. Here is the intercepting text from FreeTone: “Secure your number! The type of message you received can only be read if you buy your number for 1 week or more. Click on the link below to buy this number and read immediately your message. textme://?action=edit_phonenumber&phone_number The Team at TextMe.” This seems very dirty to me. It says texts and calls are free, but beware it’s not totally true.
