Who is this good for? – Spotify Kids Review

This is app is so incredibly limited. I signed up for a family plan so we could move away from google podcasts. My 8 year old listens to many podcasts made for children on a regular basis, but like any child, I sometimes find her clicking on related, but not always appropriate content. None of her podcasts are available on this app, but are available on adult Spotify. The only podcast seems to be something about a pirate story. The music selection seems to be specifically tailored to fulfill some contract with a VERY few selection of artists. There is no way to remove content unless it has already been listened to. I cannot block the religious playlist, or anything else she doesn’t like or I would rather her not listen to. So if I can’t add what she wants or remove what we don’t want, what’s the point? Clearly, this is a targeted exposure situation. I’d much rather deal with traditional ads, which is not something I thought I’d ever say. We will be canceling the family plan and continue our search for a solution for our entire family. Can’t believe I was willing to pay $16 a month for this.
