Game error - can't go further – Unlikely Suspects HD (Full) Review

Arrgghh! I know from reading online that other people have had this problem -- having searched all the locations on the map, I have enough evidence to visit suspects' "lairs" but when I try, every single one triggers and error message saying there isn't enough evidence… Only a little ways into the game and pfthhthht. Stuck. Don't bother.
