App died on me :( – Run Tracker - GPS Fitness Tracking for Runners Review

The app showed as working & recording while I was waking. I looked several times to be sure it was working. Then my phone died, but I knew the battery was fine. When I went inside & plugged in my phone, my battery showed at 60 percent & my session showed on the app, but stats all showed as zero. I had music playing & some texts came in. Does the phone need to be disabled in some way for this app to work?
