Really Bad, Unfortunate Experience – Vacation Rentals - HomeToGo Review

I used their app. I made a payment to receive a rental for 3 nights. It totaled to about $750 which isn’t bad. However, after that I received a higher charge. I figured it was for fees but it was a substantial increase by $250, bringing my total cost to $1000. I was like okay fine I just need a room for 3 days and I’ll be done with this. I only received a location and a number to a keypad. I didn’t receive the owners information just in case I ran into trouble. Well, I did run into a lot of trouble. I arrived at the location and it seemed almost completely different from the photos. So I was getting really frustrated but I knew it was the right house since I used the code to get into the house and the address was the same. When I walked in, there was absolutely nothing. No couches, chairs, beds, TVs. Nothing, not even towels or a washer machine. So at this point I was extremely upset and I contacted management. I asked for a refund and took photos of the place. It was also extremely dirty like dust even on the kitchen counter tops. I didn’t receive a response the first night and I gave the benefit of doubt saying it’s just a weekend. I ended up buying an air mattress, I got a gym membership so I can shower, and I had to wash my clothes at a local laundromat. It’s been almost 2 months now. I received an email asking for pictures and thank god I took them. Well, maybe not so much because since then I haven’t received an email back. I’ve written about 6 in the past 2 months. Still nothing. I don’t I feel like this was a complete scam and I’d really like someone to correct this because I’ve been more than cooperative this entire time.
