Images won’t load on Gen 8 iPad – Shipwrecked: Lost Island Review

I loved this game on my older iPad, then got a new one and the images will not load....I just have open space with a bunch of empty squares on it. Is there a setting I can change to make the images load? I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail.
