Sir Shuffles – Solitaire Review
You would have gotten 5 stars, but after you updated the software for newer versions of iOS, you decided to award accomplishment titles after every 5 wins. I am at Level 175 = Sir Shuffles. Well whoopdee-doo! If I was 8 years old, I would think that was terrific.
Since shortly after I purchased an iPhone 4, when they came out, I’ve been playing your versions of Klondike Solitaire. I found it to be the most accurate - programmatically - to playing with a deck of cards. It still is! But I’m almost 70 years old; and I find the closest thing with which I can relate your Level Titles, is getting a lollipop at the doctor’s office. And I haven't needed a reward for being a “good boy” for that for 60 years.
Are most of your customers so easily placated? I suppose it’s cheaper for you than giving everyone a nickel when they attain a new level. On the other hand, maybe it’s not your fault. I used to blame our country’s mediocrity on kids’ soccer, where they all received a medal - win or lose. But soldiers have been psychologically appeased by a shiny medal for centuries. Why even baby Moses was tested by Pharaoh to choose between glistening-hot coals and shiny gold!
Anyway, that’s why you’ve received a 4 star and not 5 star rating. But go out and buy yourself a trophy for good computer programming. Spend what you think you’ve earned and can afford. You deserve it!
