Love the app but has issues – Google Docs: Sync, Edit, Share Review

I’m a college student so being able to use this app on my iPad to do homework on the go is great but a problem I face a lot is that my keyboard will no longer be able to type anything. I will have to type on the screen but if I go into another app I am able to continue to type with my keyboard. Recently it keeps kicking me out of the app when I use my iPad screen to click on the text and change the font or text color. Needs to be fixed because I rely on this app for most of my classes.
