This is a professional level app. The quality is superb. If topiary only looking for RTA and/or FET, then yes, there are free apps that work just as good. However, Audio Tools offer different upgrades as your expertise increases. This way, as your skill level increases, you have the opportunity in purchase upgrades so all the apps you use will be in one location. That for me is a HUGH plus..
