Good Game ruined by its economy – South Park: Phone Destroyer™ Review

Honestly, I love South Park and this game. Love the concept, the design, the animation, and music. However, I feel manipulated by the increase of pricing as I purchase more items in store, the fact that I will need to check every four hours instead of several days for cards, and the unreasonable upgrade system that demands more and more resources if not directly cash from the players. I am fine with and I think we should pay for games. For example I have purchased the stick of truth. But I am very uncomfortable of gaming companies manipulating our gambling instinct. Unfortunately with the freemium games rising and one time purchase games in decline, players are feeling more like gamblers. It’s a shame, and one day we— both players and gaming companies—will all look back at video games’ decline into gambling with regret. What a pity for those talented game artists.
