Special events don’t accumulate my score – Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom Review

The first time I ran an event my score accumulated. Now, the events will give me my first score and then add a random number or nothing at all in subsequent runs. I’ve tried restarting and turning of WiFi etc.
