Read Before Downloading (Issues) – Bleach: Immortal Soul Review

I have never left a review before on anything. I have played many gacha style games. This is a first for me. Bleach: Immortal Soul on its surface seems like a fun game. You have all these characters, that anyone who knows Bleach, loves. The gameplay is simple yet has enough of a strategic element to allow you to have different strategies involving the War Souls. The Single Player modes allow you to choose targets which allows you to take out troublesome foes. The multiplayer aspect though is all random and will basically be a coin flip as you don’t pick who to attack. The summon mechanic is okayish. I mean you get shards them combine shards to get the character. Then get even more shards to up a characters stars. Nothing super new or difficult. The one knock on it is that there is not a rotating banner making it pointless to summon once you get everyone as you will want to save soul jades. You are guaranteed a free character every ten summons. Pretty much every character is here from Bleach up until the final Aizen fight. The storyline is literally just Bleach. Not much to add there. The real reason this review is a 1-star however is how much of a scam this game is. They do not disclose the drop rates or flat out lie about them. The compensation they give is laughable. I don’t spend money on Gachas because they are all scams and some more so than others. However because I enjoy Bleach I ended up spending money. Even with spending nearly every jade and a couple hundred dollars I still was not able to summon either Christmas character. I thought it was just bad luck so whatever. However after digging it was discovered that the company purposely lied about the drop rates making it harder to get the characters. Despite the complaints they issued a laughable nothing apology and gave 1800 jades. Which is the equivalent of 7 pulls for the current event. Did they fix the odds? No. Did they post the odds? No. They really should fix it though as their current practice of doing business is illegal in Europe and China. So they should probably get that fixed. They said they would do better in the future. Well there is no future with me and this game. Although this game is free to download it does not excuse how this company treats the people that play the game. It’s a shame too because it was a great time killer but I will find something else. If anyone reading this still wants to play this game and spend money then that’s fine but you’ve been warned.
