Not bad – Gaydorado Review

The game design is pretty nice for what it is. I’ve logged in maybe a couple hours and it has interesting mechanics. It does kind of feel like it’s just on autopilot and I’m just tapping the screen. During combat, it is a little frustrating that the AI on the players end seems to be random with its targets and in terms of a turn-based rpg, it doesn’t really seem to give a lot of player agency and most of the “close” wins could have been easier if I were able to select which target my squad members would target. I’m not sure what the mechanics are for combat exactly but it’s not very interactive and I tend to go do other things while I let the battle animations play. The story/stories I wish were a little more involved. Since we did get a customizable avatar, I had assumed it would be a little more interactive so I was somewhat disappointed there wasn’t much player interaction apart from tapping through dialogue. The other mechanics like the fashion and leveling systems I can kind of understand but a lot of the other things I’m not exactly sure what I am supposed to do and usually I can figure it out on my own. This game seems like it could be really fun app, I think maybe if it were made to be more interactive and have more clear on all the other features that would possibly help. Maybe a more comprehensive tutorial would also help in introducing the features. I’ll still be playing it but probably just not as much as some other apps. It has good potential and the artwork is great!
