Great app for my autistic, nonspeaking son – LetMeTalk Review

Updated yet again on 12/11/2020 - we figured out what happened. Figured out a way to get a backup of my boards. There’s no good way to sync boards across multiple devices, though. We have to manually sync them with a file I export and put into Dropbox so all 6 of us can make sure we have the same board so our youngest can communicate with everyone here. The support on the website was pretty much non-existent, as well, when I had my issue. I think the program still meets our needs well, from a usability standpoint, but maintaining consistent boards across multiple devices and support are why I have changed my review to 3 stars. Well, I spoke too soon. I was so excited about how well this was working out and then tried to share my profile with my husband so he could also communicate with our son. Not only did the share NOT work, but it DELETED all my customizations. I will be looking for something that actually works. —- old review below —- My 4 year old is catching on to this app very quickly! We tried a few free trials of expensive, similar apps and this one is our favorite, so far! I have only a few things I would change about this app... I just got my new iPhone 12 Pro and the delete button on the bottom right is cut off and hard to tap on now. Being able to move items into folders rather than having to delete and recreate them would be very helpful. Adding images for general items in ASL would be nice. I have been taking a lot of photos on my own to add our custom buttons. Also, having a temporary board for choices available at that moment would be nice. Sometimes I want my son to pick food out and I don’t want to use the entire food section since I don’t have all of those food items. I’m not totally sure how this would be implemented, but it would be a huge help for us and probably other moms who are trying to figure out what their kids want to eat, drink or do at a specific time.
