Updated: Definitely not worth $7.99 – Cronk: Action Puzzle Review

After my initial excitement of finding my first match and shoot game in the App store, the games slow pace, colorblind unfriendlyness, and clunky game play have led me to believe this game needs serious upgrades, a much lower price, or both. I just got Blackbeard's today and it's a much better game and it's only $1.99. Don't blow eight bucks like I did on this one. Exciting, fast-paced game with beautiful graphics and FX, Cronk should be quite addicting to those, like myself, who love games such as Zuma and Luxor that combine puzzle solving with arcade style shooting. Only 3-stars for now, but easily a 5-star app if some or all of the following are improved in future updates: 1. Save feature. You should be able to return to the last cleared level instead of going all the way back to the beginning. 2. Colorblind mode. I am colorblind and it's hard for me to distinguish between 2 pairs of boulders on the lighter backgrounds, nearly impossible on darker ones. That's 4 possible shooting choices that leaves me confused and hesitant where to shoot. 3. More levels. Actually, there may be plenty, but as I just started playing I know no matter how many levels there are, I'm going to want more! 4. The price. $7.99 is a lot to pay for an app, although it obviously didn't stop me from buying the game. If the above updates are made, I would have gladly paid $9.99 for it. Overall, a great game that will rival Fieldrunners, Aurora Feint, Adrenaline Pool, Galcon, and Wurdle as my most played apps, and beat them with updates!
