Can't send video through adapter to TV – Loopideo - Loop Videos Review

I downloaded the latest version on my iPhone 4 that is compatible with iOS 7. I want to use this old phone to loop an aquarium video to the TV in my den. I am using Apple's 30-pin digital AV adapter to keep the phone charged while it loops the video. Problem is, this app doesn't work. It only sends the audio to the TV. The adapter and cables work just fine with other iPhone functions, but apparently this app can't send the video out through the adapter (Apple model A1422). This is NOT a solution for repurposing old iPhones for fun applications.
