Great Game, can be improved (My suggestions) – RetroMon - Virtual Pet Monster Review

I downloaded this game with my 3 other friends of mine and have had a blast of nostalgia and fun playing. However think the battle system/muscle system needs to be reworked. I love the idea of the ranked system it pairs you with other players based on muscle found in settings, however this is flawed. Muscle determines who wins a battle. when you check the muscle in you too left stat button you have full muscle hearts at around 12-13 which resets on each evolution. Regardles of that you can check the settings there is no cap on the muscle you can have I am sitting at around 113 muscle and there are no players to fight with. because hardly anyone trains to 113 muscle this lead my friend to grind to me so we can grind evolution battles to get to 30 to get a mega digimon. We both have the same mistake amount i have where garurumon and he has the veemon evolution line (the new egg) and beats me nearly every time. which leads me to believe that monsters have some hidden base muscle on top of what they actually train to.(however this is just a theory) What i suggest is a cap on muscle per tier of digimon in addition to an random amount of muscle randomized each battle. Like listed below. The numbers in the parenthesis is randomly is a randomly generated added muscle to your base muscle so you there is a chance you still win against someone with a base muscle close to your monsters. In training muscle cap: 40 +(1-20) Rookie: 50 +(1-20) Champion: 60 +(1-20) Ultimate: 70 +(1-20) Mega: 80 +(1-20) This system allows for more competitive and fair battles and allows for a small chance for you to beat a monster an evolve above you. it would also be cool idea to increase the max of your randomizer cap by +1 each time you win a ranked battle this will reset on each evolve. This also gives incentive to keep battling to get stronger once you get to mega.(and would increase the sale of monster revive without making the game pay to win.(explained below) This would also lead to more players to be seen in the ranked system I saw the most players around 20-30muscle and some megas when i was at 40 then i saw less and less people in ranked as I increased my muscle. Ex a mega that has won 12 battles stats would look like this: 80+(1-32) This would also increase BP restore sales or Ad Watching (good marketing) for people who are really hardcore about Ranked should que you with people by your base potential muscle so you don’t get stomped by the same person over and over and maintain competition. to get this number add (base muscle + median randomizer) so the monster with (80+1-32) would have a ranked muscle stat of 906) (32/2=16) 80+16=96 and you can obviously vs people within your range of battle which i believe is +-10 currently but should be increased to +-20 with the numbers ive used in my review. This negates the pay to win of people constantly reviving thier mega if they get to far ahead of others there will be less people for them to battle and get even further ahead. some of my favorite digimon are also supposed to be innately weaker for your poor care choices. But these are some of my favorite monsters ex: the leomon line i would just have them have a starting randomizer of (1-15) as opposed to (1-20) that way even though you did make poor evolve choices. you can get competitive with your favorite digimon dispite your them being “mistake monsters” The thought of a really powerful mega numemon is amazing. I also have suggestions s on methods of training i know training one gives you +1 muscle and a perfect score gives you +2 training 2 is much more rng and is much harder to achieve a perfect score in my opinion if you get a perfect score in training 2 it should give you +4 take that into account when you create future training methods might also be a good idea to give +1 base muscle on the victory of any battle, so it’s not such a training grind to get to your monster to its base muscle caps listed, but this won’t exceed the base muscle cap of your evolve rank unlike the randomizer increase. (especially since i’ve encountered most players at 20-30 muscle.) love the game keep the updates coming more eggs, more options than 2 types of training. device customization options The game will definitely get more popular this way. another way for sales without being pay to win is new color skins and backgrounds for your device or just have 2 eggs free and make some cost 99 Cents to unlock considering monsters are just skins and steer away from pay to evolve (this is somewhat pay to win) also you currently have a bug that when you lose a ranked battle it only counts toward your unranked battle. - a fellow game dev :)
