Incredibly easy and useful for monitoring multiple temperatures – FireBoard® Review

I got this a few days ago to monitor the temperatures on my outdoor wood boiler. The system exceeds my expectations. Got the basics figured out and working in a few minutes. Strapped two probes to my supply and return pipes and wrapped those with foam insulation; placed one against the chimney; and one sticks down under the boiler to get an outside temperature. The FireBoard connects easily to my WiFi access point in the garage about 30 feet away, even with the FireBoard being inside the metal cabinet of the boiler. I can’t speak a lot to accuracy, as I just have probes up against the things I’m measuring rather than submerged in the liquids (though the outdoor probe is within tolerance of my existing outdoor thermometer), but the sensitivity of the probes is great. I can see very clearly from drops in the return temperature when one or more zones of our house’s heating system is calling for heat, and it’s fun to see how all four of these temperatures relate to one another in a totally logical way. This gives me wonderful insight about the performance of the boiler and the consumption rate of the wood. Several minor requests for the app: (1) make the time and temperature pop up linger longer, it disappears after only a second or so, making it challenging to read after confirming I tapped on the intended spot of my graph; (2) allow dragging around on the graph to rapidly and precisely view different pop up readings along the graphs without having to tap each position separately; and (3) provide a way to specify a scheduled session start time, which I’d really like to have be midnight without the need to actually stay up until midnight to get started on the first night I use the FireBoard. Thanks FireBoard team for making a powerful and shockingly easy to use system for scientific temperature analyses.
