Great Idea, lots of glitches, bad update – Musixmatch Lyrics Finder Review

This app was my absolute favorite for a long time and then about 2 months ago I switched from Apple Music to Spotify. Ever since then the app has glitched like crazy. It doesn’t recognize that I am playing a song until I’ve closed and reopened the app multiple times and I have to close it and reopen it every time my song ends and a new one starts because the lyrics are late if I just let it play on its own. I also can’t sync any lyrics on the app, which blows because most of my music is indie artists and they’re not usually on there. Since the app glitches before I can save any lyrics as a draft, I usually write them down in notes and copy them to the app when I’ve finished editing them. I’ve spent so long listening to a song to lose the lyrics because I moved to a place with bad connection that I don’t even bother anymore. Once I add the lyrics and I want to sync them, it says “Oops, there’s something wrong” EVERY TIME. I’ve tried to delete and restart the app, and downloaded it on my iPad and I have the same issue. I even connected it to Apple Music on the iPad because that’s what I was using before everything went wrong. No dice. So most of my songs don’t have lyrics for them. Another annoying thing is that they used to let anyone edit any lyric, but now you have to have a certain amount of points to edit lyrics. But you get points by editing lyrics so that gets really frustrating. There’s an Alan Jackson song that I frequently listen to that shows the lyrics to a completely different song. I don’t have enough points to fix it, only enough to sync it, but what am I supposed to sync? Not a single word is correct in the lyrics. Plus I can’t sync anyway even if the lyrics were correct. I contacted the help center and haven’t gotten a response. I love the idea of the app, and I would have given it 5 stars before all of this.
