Why? – YouTube Studio Review

This might be an issue with the current version, but this app allowed me to do... nothing. It would not play a video. I couldn’t update metadata, thumbnails, descriptions, tags; nothing but analytics. I was presented a list of content on my channel. The resulting page when I clicked on one of the thumbnails in that list had a very large frame and video analytics; but the video didn’t play and there is no fields to enter data. I deleted and re-downloaded the app and it seems to work, mostly. I still cannot replace a laptop to administer YouTube: I cannot copy over a batch of tags from a video being updated, for example. Subtitles anyone? A must have feature for me and it seems missing in Studio. I have over 400 apps and this is only the second time I’ve run into one where redownloading has been needed. Seems there are a few weak threads in the application. [added: once more, I cannot play videos within the app. Shabby.]
