Very fun game, requires dedication though... – Dragons: Rise of Berk Review

So I got into the dragons franchise after I read the original books the movies are based off of. I then watched Race to the Edge and fell in love with the franchise and the lore of the Httyd universe. When I found this game,I got it and was surprised to see so many dragons, especially Race to Edge dragons which I had grown to love. The beginning was very fun, with a great story and the game was challenging but not getting too hard that mechanics are hard to understand. Brawl and Raid are very fun and it added even more fun to the game. Unlike many other games that incorporate attack, this games brawl was so easy. You just have to memorize four classes and read the attacks. I do feel like some moves are too overpowered, but as long as you know how to counter it’s easy to overcome. It was around Toothless Level 15 when I started to notice the game getting repetitive, and I had to keep sending dragons off to collect, and then send toothless off, and it was basically just checking in, sending dragons off and leaving. The paying aspect also got a bit annoying, since I don’t want to spend real life currency on virtual products. I got bored and quit. Anyways, after the How to Train your dragon 2 movie came out on Netflix, I got back in. It’s a lot of fun now, atleast as of now while I’m interested again, and I’m about to get the Green Death, which I’m excited for. I know this review is getting long, so I’m going to address the paying aspect before I end this. It gets kind of annoying since whenever you need a resource really badly, you see a “deal” and you end up buying stuff that won’t even last for that long. I’m kinda neutral on the whole membership thing, but I didn’t buy it so I’m not going to put out my opinion on it. While the purchase aspect is annoying, the game is still fun and playable without making any purchases. So the only suggestion I have is to maybe make the game a bit easier for non paying players to advance. I understand that Ludia is a company and making money is a priority, but I would have liked something like a breeding system or some quests to get new dragons for free. I really want to get race to the edge dragons, but they cost so much that it’s not reasonable. I know I’ve been complaining a lot so I’m gonna end it here, but overall a very fun and engaging game, though it requires a ton of dedication and willpower.
