Good for recipes and cooking. But not so good for menu planning and shopping – Paprika Recipe Manager 3 Review

Menu/meal planning features are limited. Pantry items do not interact with meal planner, so to add that store-bought rice mix to a menu you have to put it in as a recipe (boring and time consuming and stupid, but not even in Covid time do I make everything from scratch. Pantry items do not have units, like pounds, or cans or each, and no lower limit setting to put on shopping list. Pantry to shopping list is only automated for out of stock items. So if you want to buy sugar when stock is down to say 1lb you have to do this manually or misstate the actual stock on hand. Interaction between pantry and everything else seems to be limited or incorrect. If a recipe calls for 4 cans of something, and there are 2 cans in the pantry, a generated grocery list says that the item is in the pantry. A bar code reader to put prepared items in pantry would be great A tiered aisle entry for pantry items would be a good feature. Store/aisle so that multiple shopping lists can be generated by store
