Pretty good game, not perfect though – Day R Survival: Last Survivor Review

I’ve played this game really early when it came out, back when the health system didn’t exist and was replaced by exhaustion and a crap ton of different meters and whatnot. I even beat the game back when the new combat system was introduced. All I’ve got to say for it is that it’s good. It’s definitely gotten much harder with the new updates, and dying felt actually threatening. The level system can get tedious as you can’t really farm it, and you’re constantly annoyed at not being able to craft stuff you have the materials for, just because your level is too low. As for the combat it’s pretty dope. It’s got a grid based combat system with environmental hazards that you need to avoid or use to lure enemies into. You can use weapons and such with action points, but since you can only gain a small amount each turn combat gets pretty difficult early game. You can increase the amount gained with perks, but action point regain is a pretty rare perk.
