Obnoxious – CLUE Bingo Review

Honestly, I understand the need for apps to make money, but this takes it too far. I just want to play a little bingo. But to play one short round of bingo, you are pushed to get their other apps. Maybe a video but definitely a banner ad for another game. You go to to bypass it and it’s either “download” or “get later”. How about “get never”? Then there is a bundle offer that you have to tap out of. Then you look at the menu and there’s more stuff for their other apps, as well as their store. You wade through everything and go to start the round, do you want this boost? Watch an ad or pay in diamonds. Don’t want that boost? What about this boost? Watch an ad or pay in diamonds. No? Ok let’s play the game. In the round, there’s a power bar, and if it’s full or if you’ve ran out of the little lightening bolt packages a big bouncing distracting arrow appears in your field of vision. Use the power or pay for more powers, and just below that is a power surge button you can get for diamonds. Once the round is over, more often than not without you getting a bingo, more offers pop up. Do you want extra time? Diamonds or ad viewing. Want extra balls, diamonds or ads. Then comes the collecting part. Here’s the stuff you earned this round. Look at these clue packets! Nifty little things...but you better hope you have enough magnifiers to open them, otherwise, more paying please. All this detracts from the fun of the app. I just want to play a simple round of bingo, and it feels like I’m having to jump though hoops nonstop. Plus this app is like other bingos I’ve played, probably by the same company, just a different skin. I really miss big fish bingo.
