Nothing special – Photo Tile Puzzle - Free Slider Puzzle Game Review

If slide puzzles are your thing, this is perfectly serviceable. It comes with only 4 defaults photos to use which is pretty bad. Even with the ability to use your own photos, it would be nice to come with more than 4. Puzzles can be adjusted, ranging from 9 to 36 pieces, so there is a challenge to be had for all age groups. As far as features go, there's a total of one. You can play a slide puzzle, and that's it. Want to know how many moves you made...get out a pen and paper. Want to know how long the puzzle took....time to get a stop watch. With a game as basic as a slide puzzle, you need to offer something to the player that stands out. Stat tracking, levels, a scoring system, anything. As it is, I am fairly certain this was put together in an afternoon. This would be a three star app with its current functionality if it were not for some horrible advertising choices. I don't mind ads, promoting other games is fine with me, as long as gameplay isn't hampered. This game puts the link to their other games within the playing area. The "i" you see in the screens above in the upper right hand corner is a link to their other games. You will hit this button several times during every puzzle you do. It's a bad design decision, there is plenty of room at the bottom of the screen to put this that wouldn't break the flow of the game.
