Someone please make a better app – Acapella from PicPlayPost Review

This is the most un-user-friendly app ever. I tried to use it for my choir, and I gave up and just bought editing software, which had actually been so much easier to learn and just do it myself. This app is really weird and buggy. You have to adjust the length of time just right from the beginning, only one person can upload their video (the rest have to do a live recording), then you invite one person to collaborate, but then you have to grant them permission to collaborate after they try to open it, and then sometimes still the button to collaborate wouldn’t launch. You can’t work on more than one project at a time, even if you pay $10 a month. Sometimes if you close out your project and come back, it will randomly say “sent” and no longer have the option to “collaborate” and other projects that are done and sent will still have the option to collaborate — so the last person in the chain would have to keep sending it to me if I accidentally closed it, and then I would have to request permission, and then they would grant it, and sometimes the button to collaborate would launch. Only one person can work on the project at a time, which makes sense, but then the last person in the chain would have to send it back to me to adjust the levels. Why can’t a former collaborator just access it again once someone in the chain has closed it. I’m a pretty tech savvy person, no dummy — I went to Harvard — and I’m also a millennial, and I’ve been using this since Covid started in hopes I would figure this out but forget it. Someone else needs to make a better app. Until then, I’ll be doing DIY.
