It won’t let me use videos or clips I have on phone? – Boomerang from Instagram Review

It seems to only want to let me shoot and use what I make in the app, but Instagram says use boomerang if I want it to be continuous. I swear a few years ago it did? Am I missing something? Sorry I’ve tried but I can’t seem to get it but I’ll keep trying for a bit.
