Amazing 8-bit glory days – XLARGE® "X-Baseball" Review

I love this game. It is everything that is good and bad about the golden days of 8-bit arcade games. You are always three strikes from failure and bananas are key to longevity. One thing that really bugs me about this game is the frame rate problems. Just like in old NES games, the frame rate can go at a variable rate, bog down and be slow, and then try to catch up making it quick to swing at anything. I have an iPad 3 and I have no apps running so this shouldn't be an issue but it is. Living the glory days of 8-bit shouldn't mean that you have to deal with the technological difficulties they had in the day too. A properly coded game would not have frame rate issues.
