If Bewildering Was Boiled Down to its Essence – FINAL FANTASY BE:WOTV Review

I am a HUGE Final Fantasy Tactics fan and very much enjoy Fire Emblem Heroes. So, when I heard those two things were coming together (the world of one and the phone app style of the other) I was VERY excited. HOWEVER, this game is basically unintelligible. Every screen (outside of combat) has more buttons, scrolls, levers, and numbers than even the most alert-minded of people will not be able to process until they have been engulfed in the game for months. Now, Fire Emblem Heroes has the same amount of complexity and data, but they keep it hidden away until you’re adventurous enough to find it. This game, shoves it in your face, even when you have no idea what it means. I spend money on cell phone games. I wanted to spend money on this game. But I really don’t even know how to buy what I want, because there is fathoms too much going on and leagues too much to purchase. Hopefully, someday, they will simplify this blinking, insistent mess. But until then, only enter when you’re sober, have a pen and paper ready, and are in the mood to slog through menus designed by a mad man/woman.
