There is no three line menu on my app – Hangouts Review

I downloaded this app per my email invitation to join video. App downloaded, says "get Started", this takes me to "account" which brings up my gmail account with button green. No place to go after this accept to the page that says get started. There is no three line menu in any of the corners. I was not able to join video with my friends.
