Newer is not always better – mail.com: Free email & cloud Review

I have been using mail.com for 20 years. Obviously, it has been working for me. HOWEVER, the November 13, 2017 revision really messed it up. Clicking on an email produces NOTHING, unless I go in through the back door by first coming here to the Apple APPS store and select open from the mail.com option. Only then can I read my emails. Go back to the drawing board and clean up the revision. Revise the revision! Then, I can give this app the 5 stars it has been giving for the past 20 years! Thanks.
