If it ain’t broke... – DOOM Review

Then don’t try to pull a Bethesda and break it! I don’t even know where to begin with this one... DOOM was my first paid iOS app about 11 years ago when I got a 2nd gen iPod touch, and it ran perfectly without any issues at all. Controls were great, could be customized, and were snappy and accurate. I dug up my old iPad Air 2 and reinstalled the app today. Wow I am so disappointed in this now. Everything feels floaty, automatic firing works when it feels like it, and the added Bethesda.net account sign-in was unneeded. It’s as I’ve said with the Switch version when that was first released, only Bethesda can break a game over 2 decades old. Stop trying to ‘improve’ the classics, you only make them worse and leave them as they are! Looking back at previous reviews, this has been an issue for awhile and it seems Bethesda just does not care, they take your money and run. Roll back the game to an older version Bethesda, at least it would be playable. This broken version breaks the pacing of the game something bad.
