NICELY, NICELY, NICELY DONE! – Flashonary - Chinese-English, Chinese-German Flashcard Dictionary Review

Some of the things i like about this app is what it DOESN"T do: It doesn't give you a pre-defined lists. It doesn't make you conform your learning plan to what the app has to offer. It doesn't make it difficult to add words/lists. It doesn't make you buy an upgrade to add words to the dictionary. You can use the "dictionary" function to find the words you need to study, and add them to a list - say verbs, grammar, colors, etc. whatever you decide to name your list. You can create lists within lists. So Verbs may be a list within the Grammar list - Fantastic. You can EDIT what shows on the card. So if the app gives you 3-5 definitions, but you only want 1 to show on the card, you can get rid of the ones you don't want. NICELY DONE! I have added, probably 60 - 70 words so far, and very few weren't in the dictionary. This is a really good record compared to other apps. "Fragrance" was one of them - feng fong/fang is what i was looking for. Feng was there, just not feng fong. I would gladly pay money for this app, and bought the upgrade just so I could give these guys some money. We are taking lessons from a private tutor, so the ability to customize the words is fantastic. Just what we needed. Love the functionality of this part. All that said, here are some developments I'd like to see. I'd like some control over how often the words show up - the current functionality isn't exactly what we need (regarding "Right" and "Wrong".) The interfaces need to be a little clearer - it takes a bit of fumbling around to learn how to use the program. I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to be able to add phrases. Things like "that is a chair", and "my mother is chinese". (Yes, I'd pay for an upgrade if this were available.) I created two folders - in two different locations - my error. But I don't know how to delete one of the folders. This is no huge deal - I'll just rename it the next time i need to create a folder. Nice job guys!
