Great atmosphere, poor level design – UFO on Tape: First Contact Review

This is not a game made for mobile devices at the first place. You can clearly see it from the way of interacting with the UI. It’s designed for VR devices. And it certainly offers terrible experience for mobile users. The visual quality is pretty good, with the BGM and the setup of the scenario , the game does bring the experience of the Third Contact vividly. Therefore the game executes very well at this point. But the drawbacks are as obvious as the good parts. The zoom in / out, rotate the camera and take a shot can be easily mis-tapped during the high speed UFO chasing. The criteria for moving on to the next level are very restricted. It ended up asking players to play the first level again and again in order to meet the minimum requirement to move on. This is a quite negative and rejecting experience for any new player. The concept of the game is great. The atmosphere is great. But the UI, control and level design is not ideal for a mobile game. So I am looking forward to some updates for those parts, because I do want to continue the game after those annoying experience improved.
