Great UX makes everything fresh and accesible – The Atlantic Magazine Review

I have been a subscriber to The Atlantic for over 35 years. The physical magazine had a great user experience and it made my day every time the monthly issue arrived. Their first try at an app was a disaster. It frequently crashed and was awkward to use. This time they nailed it. It reinvents the e-mag experience. Or maybe they copied it? Whatever. My 35 year old magazine got an amazing new lease in life. The old app had a typical e-mag architecture: a top level index with articles under each entry. In the new version you get morning, afternoon and night suggestions on what to read. The criteria for selecting the topics vary, sometimes the most newsworthy topic of the day, sometimes a great analysis presented as series of short articles.
